This magnificent site on the edge of Lough Erne within the demesne of an historic building required very sensitive consideration. The client’s requirement for a modern building which took full advantage of the setting and views without imposing on the local landscape led to a traditional form but with modern fenestration and an external fabric dominated by natural materials. The visual appearance of those materials, stone, timber, slate and the use of both existing and new landscaping has allowed the building to integrate with its’ surroundings while at the same time, the clients can make full use of the lifestyle benefits of their special site.
